Mushrooms Reduce Breast Cancer by 64%?!

Seriously?!

That was my reaction when I read the title of the article a few days ago.

I love mushrooms, so this is great news for me. If you don’t like mushrooms that much, this study might change your mind.

Researchers from the University of Western Australia in Perth led a study of 2,000 Chinese ladies. About half had breast cancer.

The researchers surveyed the ladies’ dietary patterns, and figured out different factors that caused cancer, for example, being overweight, absence of activity, and smoking. What’s more, they went to a startling finding about mushrooms.

Ladies who ate no less than 33% of an ounce of fresh mushrooms each day were 64% less inclined to develop breast cancer.

Mushrooms are thought to protect against breast cancer and other hormone-related diseases especially in light of the fact that they repress a chemical called aromatase, which produces estrogen.

Mushrooms likewise contain specific lectins that perceive tumor cells, and have been found to keep malignancy cells from developing and partitioning.
